Trisai
Kingdoms use the three schools of summoning magic to bend the power of elementals and monstrous beasts from the lower planes of existence to their every need; from the fires that power a blacksmith’s smelting, to highly trained servants, to fearsome shock troops on the front lines of a war. But most humans don’t realize that there are beings from higher planes that play a chess game of lives with them as well.
From neighboring countries, Ffion and Ashland care nothing for all the manipulation. They just want to fulfill their ordained roles and be together. But then Ffion, priestess of the Seraph Sisters, must step up as her goddesses’ Abbess when her village is destroyed by an army using the strange monsters, while Ashland, adopted daughter of her king and god, has been gifted four powerful war-summons and sent on a holy mission to grow her kingdom and its influence.
Caught on opposite sides of the war, can the lovers escape the machinations of the greater powers and find each other, or are they just pawns?
